Who can apply?
Motivated students looking to gain experience in professional production.
Do you have to be a student?
Yes.
When are the intern sessions?
Fall: September through December
Spring: January through April
Summer: May through August
When should I apply?
Now! We accept intern resumes, cover letters, portfolios, etc at any time, but usually start interviewing around 2 – 3 months before the session begins. In the past, we have held positions for the early-bird applicants as well as accepted students who were a little late to the game, so apply online today!
Are internships paid?
Paid with college credit.
What are the hours?
We are flexible to work with your schedule, but typically our internships are around 20 hrs / week (2 – 3 days / week, 9a-6p with break for lunch).
What do Taillight / Porchlight interns do?
Depends on the day. On set production assistant, development researcher, music video caption master, editor / assistant editor, compatriot, social media star, etc, are all hats interns have worn or tried on in the past. With the diversity of our companies’ productions, our interns are able to get their feet wet in many different aspects of the production and entertainment industry. We want to help our interns develop their unique interests and career paths, and look for people who won’t be afraid to step out and let us know what those goals and passions are.
