“Love Wins” and so does the music video! Taillight director, Shane Drake’s video won the 2019 CMT Award for Female Video of the Year. This was for Carrie Underwood’s video, “Love Wins.”
In Underwood’s Instagram post, she thanked Drake for “the crazy awesome energy you bring to video shoots.”
This powerful anthem was brought to life by its vibrant and colorful visuals.
The video’s Executive Producer, Chandra LaPlume shared her excitement about the win, “I’m so proud of Shane Drake and the team on the win for Love Wins! Ten years of shoots with Drake and Taillight and I’m stoked for what the next 10 will bring.”
This is the first video win for Shane Drake at the CMT Music Awards and will certainly not be his last
It was also an exciting night for Taillight’s Tom Forrest. The episode of CMT Crossroads featuring Luke Combs and Leon Bridges' version of "Beautiful Crazy" took home the award for CMT Performance of the Year. Forrest produced and directed the crossover collaboration that brought home the win.
"CMT Crossroads is one most fulfilling programs I have ever been a part of," said Forrest, "Glad to see it’s still going strong."
