Taillight Director TK McKamy wins CMA Award for Video of The Year!

He's done it again! Taillight director TK McKamy has just won the 2018 CMA Award for Video of the Year for directing Thomas Rhett's video for "Marry Me."   "I love working with Thomas. We both have the same heart for making art that connects with people at a core level,” said TK McKamy. "I'd like to thank the Country Music Association for this honor." Good Morning America hosts Lara Spencer and Adam Rippon revealed Rhett and McKamy as the 2018 CMA Music Video of the Year winners on Wednesday morning (Nov. 14), ahead of the evening's awards ceremony but some insiders had a hunch the video would win all along.  "From the moment I saw the first rough cut I knew that TK had nailed it," said Executive Producer Chandra LaPlume. "The love and thought he puts into each and every video he creates really shines bright in this video. His collaborations with Thomas Rhett have a language of their own and I’m so happy to see it rewarded by the industry."  McKamy is a three-time CMA Award nominee and two-time winner for Music Video of the Year. Prior to his win this year, he also took home the award in 2015 for Maddie & Tae’s “Girl In A Country Song.”
