Matt Houser has been named Partner at Nashville-based hybrid production company and creative agency, Taillight. Houser oversees all aspects of production and development across each department while also working closely with clients and Taillight’s roster of award-winning directors.
“Matt Houser has been irreplaceable since the first day he joined Taillight,” said Taillight President and Founder Tom Forrest. "There’s a reason his name has been near the top of every call sheet for the past decade. He has a proven record of excellence and this partnership is a well-deserved and natural progression for his expertise.”
Houser joined Taillight in 2009, shortly after graduating from Ohio University, where he still serves on the Alumni Board. Since that time, his skillset has grown across multiple verticals in the company including the commercial, branded, television and music video departments.
Recently, he helmed projects in partnership with dick clark productions including multiple performances for the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards and The Official Inaugural Celebration as well as a Ron White Comedy Special for Netflix, and Hootie & The Blowfish’s concert special for Sessions Live.
Houser also now serves as the Executive Producer of Music Videos, overseeing projects for dozens of musical artists including Jon Pardi, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Darius Rucker, Riley Green, Lee Brice, Caylee Hammack, Lindsay Ell and many more.
“It’s an exciting career development to have all of the paths converge here, where I began working and learning in this field so many years ago,” said Houser. “I hope to build on and continue the success and reputation that Taillight has garnered, both in Nashville and across the entertainment industry.”
