Music venues across Nashville were once again buzzing with performances this week thanks to the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards and Taillight was there to help capture the excitement for the official show.
The festivities kicked off on Saturday, April 17 with the official ACM Pre-Party For a Cause, presented by Crown Royal and benefitting ACM Lifting Lives. Taillight produced the one-hour special, hosted by Sirius XM’s Buzz Brainard and Cassadee Pope, that included performances and interviews with Lindsay Ell, Tyler Rich, Jimmie Allen, Mitchell Tenpenny, Lainey Wilson, Ian Munsick, Kameron Marlowe and Lily Rose. The live-stream event aired on Facebook and YouTube exactly 24 hours before the ACM Awards.
If you missed it, don’t worry we have it HERE.
Taillight continued the festivities into Sunday evening, producing four of the awards show performances on CBS including riverfront performances with Lady A and Ashley McBryde showcasing the Nashville skyline.
As if the night couldn’t get any more exciting, our team was standing by at the legendary Station Inn in Nashville where Dierks Bentley and the band, The War & Treaty performed one of the night’s most memorable moments, a cover of U2’s Pride (In The Name Of Love).
Rolling Stone called it the "performance of the night."
Fun fact: Dierks Bentley got his start at the Station Inn when he was only 19 years old so this performance made for a full-circle moment.
And for the grand finale, Taillight shut down Broadway with a performance from Little Big Town.
Their party anthem tune, “Wine, Beer, Whiskey,” could be heard from all of the iconic honky-tonks on the street as they strut down the middle of the road in their ACM performance.
